2012 Registration Instructions
In order to complete your registration, you will have to have certain pieces of information ready. First and foremost, you will need to have your US Lacrosse membership number and renewal date handy. You can check you membership status at the US Lacrosse Member Service Page. Membership is required by League rules. If you are new to high school lacrosse, be sure and update your status to High School player.
This year we are also requiring that your US Lacrosse membership be in force until June 30th, 2012. Please check your expiration date and make sure it complies. If we have you down as needing renewal before the end of the season, your ability to participate may be effected. This is at the suggestion of the WHSBLA, our governing board, and can effect the needed league insurance that USLax provides.
Second, you will need to enter your health insurance information...provider and policy number. We are required to obtain this info before official practices commence.
You will not be able to complete the registration process without all of this information.
The registration fee for the 2012 season is $350. All payments will be made online by credit or debit card using our secure server. Partial scholarships are available on an as-needs basis. Contact the Registrar for details.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the cost of registration does not cover all the costs and expenses of running this program, such as field fees, field lighting fees (newly instituted by Seattle Parks Department last year), Officials fees and the stipends we pay to our coaching staff. The success of our program depends in no small measure on the generosity of our supporters.
Towards that end, the GMLC is in the final stages of being certified as a 501(sec c) non-profit by the IRS. Obtaining this important designation will make any contributions to our program, other than registration fees, fully tax deductible. Moreover, since we started this process last season, any contributions made since then will also be considered deductible as well. When the process is completed, our treasurer will send out a notice to all who contributed last year along with the required tax ID number needed to claim the deduction.
